How to access this service
The Windex is a new, free service for current Compers News subscribers. At present, only Compers News subscribers can access this useful service.
Help! I'm not a member of Compers News – what is it?
Compers News is a monthly publication that gathers hundreds of the very best big prize competitions from across the country and delivers them to your door (and web browser) in an easy-to-use format. Visit the Compers News website to discover more about the UK's No. 1 no-nonsense comping service.
Well I am a member, how does it work?
You will need the same information you currently use to access the digitial edition of your Compers News publication. Specifically, your subscriber number (located on the outer envelope of your printed edition) and the surname of the registered subscriber.
Compers News member but can't access the Windex?
Visit the main Compers News website and click on 'My Subscription' in the red Members Only box on the left-hand side of the Home page. This will take you to our online Customer Services page - click on 'My Subscription' at the top of the page to retrieve your Subscriber Number if you don't know it (via the 'Where can I find my subscriber number?' link), or to check the status of your subscription. If you need to resubscribe, or contact Customer Services for advice, all the links you need are there!
Work in progress
The Windex, originally known as the Dot Comper Windex, was first set up in 2001. This latest 2009 version has used the original Dot Comper database as its starting point, which was starting to show its age a bit - both in content and the software used. There may therefore be a few minor compatibility issues in these early days, but rest assured that we'll be going through the entire database page by page in the days and weeks ahead to correct errors, remove duplicates, amend any strange symbols etc. Most importantly, we'll also be adding TENS OF THOUSANDS MORE SLOGANS from Accolade Publishing's own archive, which stretches back over 30 years. The Windex is, therefore, very much a "Work in Progress" that will grow enormously over the coming weeks and months. We're confident of hitting the 100,000 slogans mark... and even when we've finished adding our archive we will, of course, continue to add the latest winning slogans and results from today's competitions as they're published. So, do keep paying us a visit to see how the project is coming along.
